Old John's Luncheonette

I can't resist sharing our delightful experience at this diner! The chicken and turkey club sandwiches were truly exceptional, packed with flavorful ingredients and served on perfectly toasted bread. The burger was juicy and super delicious , while the western omelette was a delightful blend of eggs, cheese, peppers, and ham. The diner's cozy ambiance added to the overall enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend visiting this place for a delicious and satisfying meal that will leave you craving more!

What an incredible meal. Firstly everything is unbelievably fresh and vibrant. The flavours really come through in everything. Everything on the menu is familiar but yet they’ve been able to elevate it by simply using fantastic produce. Blown away by the beef short rib, probably the best one I’ve ever had in my life. Fish and chips was also superb, not sickly oily and just light and airy. Will definitely return.

An absolute neighborhood staple. I love this place for breakfast/brunch and dinner! These pictures are from a Sunday night visit with my husband. The kale salad was refreshing and a good size…we shared it as an app. For dinner, I had the rigatoni pasta which was delicious. My husband really liked the burger. The lemon meringue pie was tart and the perfect dessert! The red wine was also really nice!

Under new management ...& doing so with total respect for the history and nostalgia of Eisenberg's, and all the lunch counters long since passed. Veggie omelette for breakfast kept me filled through dinner time. And if you have the right musician in mind, they might just adjust the tunes accordingly. Old New York still shines at S&P.

Excellent Breakfast Diner in NYC! Location -- came here after we tried to hit another place and found it was closed. Only a 10 minute walk off the subway, so we checked it after seeing positive reviews. Short walk from Columbus Circle or 72nd MTA stop. Food -- it was excellent! They sometimes take reservations, but we're not for this Black Friday, and we got there around 9 AM or so. Got the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese sandwich. Great!! The bun came on a brioche bun and it all melded perfectly together. B got the Warm Chicken Club, as they were transitioning into brunch. It also was excellent. Chicken was cooked well and had tons of flavor, complete with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. Got the home fries with it and they were quite yummy. What stole the show, however was the hashbrowns! They were cooked like patties with flour. They were huge and fantastic!!....rivaling any I've had in the South. Drinks -- coffee and water were fine, but also got the mocha and it was superb! As good as any coffee chain. They also have a full bar, so if you're in need of a jolt early in the AM, this is your spot. Service -- very friendly, helpful, and prompt. Gave good suggestions and managed a rush of customers around 10 AM very well. Vibe -- a nice mix of old school and new school with interior and in a great location near MT stops, Columbus Circle, and Central Park. Summary -- excellent no-frills diner awesome food and great service!
